A notebook is good for the home, office or school.  Notebooks are good for travelers due to their light weight.  Notebooks are good for students that want to be able to get around easily and have quick access to whatever school projects they are working on.

What are some of the limitations of a notebook computer, as compared to a typical desktop computer?  For an equally capable computer, a notebook is more expensive. The notebook is meant to be easily moved from place to place, but can easily be dropped or damaged in other ways.  On almost all notebooks, you can add memory or increase it.   You can even get a larger hard drive which has higher access speeds, but faster hard drives tend to be hotter drives, and heat is the enemy of your notebook.

The battery is a very important part of a notebook. Look for ones with better performance and slightly better battery life.  You don’t want a laptop with a duration of less than one hour.  Check to see if there are battery life extenders available for this computer.  Actual battery life may vary based on product settings, usage patterns and environmental conditions.  I’m not aware of an external battery charger, which would be a great idea.
